The Reason for the Name akihaye#
The original username was 一葉知秋, which has three meanings:
First, it relates to the surname.
Second, it relates to its meaning:
"Huainanzi, Shuo Shan" states that one can know the year is coming to an end by seeing a leaf fall.
Meaning: It is a metaphor that from subtle signs, one can infer the evolution and trends of things. It serves as a pointer for us, students of traditional Chinese medicine, in diagnosing illnesses and understanding the principles of nature.
Third, it pays tribute to Ren Yingqiu, from whom I have benefited greatly in my studies; the "autumn" can also correspond to Ren.
Why choose akihaye?
Because registering a username online requires a string of Latin characters, it needed to be translated. yiyezhiqiu, hmm… it just didn’t feel right at first glance, and it didn’t conform to phonetic habits. So I thought of the famous place in the two-dimensional world: Akihabara, あきはばら，akihabara. Hmm… good! Thus, I combined "akiha" from "秋叶" and "ye" from "一叶知秋."
